Posts | India tops China in 2015 Foreign Direct Investment
The tortoise, it seems, has surpassed the hare — at least when it comes to foreign direct investment (FDI). India attracted more than $60 billion in FDI in 2015, tops for Asia-Pacific. China was close behind with a little more than $55 billion for the year, followed by Indonesia ($39 billion), Vietnam ($20 billion), and Pakistan at number five with just under $20 billion, according to fDiMarkets.com in a nifty chart published in the FT.
Narendra Modi’s home base of Gujarat was the star, attracting $12.4 billion in investments.
